Canada Summer Jobs
Canada Summer Jobs is an initiative of the Youth Employment Strategy, which is the Government of Canada’s commitment to helping young people between the ages of 15 and 30, particularly those facing barriers to employment, get the information and gain the skills, work experience and abilities they need to transition successfully into the labour market.
EMPLOYMENT AND INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES
Senate Student Employment Program -Throughout the year, the Senate hires full-time secondary or post-secondary students to work in various areas of the Senate Administration.
House of Commons Page Program Each year, 40 students are selected from high schools and CEGEPs across Canada to come to Ottawa to work as Pages in the House of Commons. Pages have the opportunity to learn about the House of Commons while witnessing the legislative process first hand. Those hired as Pages work on a part-time basis during their first year of study at one of the universities in the National Capital Region. Please look out for information at the end of the summer.
