Humanity is facing extremely challenging and painful times. The COVID-19 global pandemic has impacted each and every one of us in one way or another. From the loss of life to mental, and emotional upheaval we feel that we are facing an uncertain future.
Throughout the world and across our own country, seniors have been the hardest hit by the pandemic. I would be remiss if I did not mention their tragedy and suffering. Our hearts are broken, and we mourn the thousands of lives claimed by this insidious enemy.
Rest assured that our Government continues to be unwavering in our commitment to support and protect all Canadians, their well-being, and our economy. Almost every day, our Prime Minister has been standing before us and making announcements about Canada’s COVID-19 Economic Response Plan and its main objective, which is to cover all Canadians during this global crisis.
Our Government’s response is a work in progress, changes and modifications are constant. Thanks to your interventions and reaching out to our office, we are able to quickly make recommendations and ask for the implementation of changes that are required for all the various programs. Throughout the evolution of the pandemic and its multiple consequences, we are here for you. Our office has continued to provide services continuously without missing a stride. We will continue to do so to help you obtain the answers you need about our Government’s work and programs. We will continue to help support you to bring you certainty and reassurance in your life. Do not hesitate to contact us regarding your issues and concerns so that we can assist you in resolving them.
I have hope that we will recover from this pandemic and our present circumstances. Our success will reside in our collective efforts of solidarity and compassion towards one another as well as our unity in the face of this unseen foe. We are forever grateful and deeply touched by the selflessness, energy and willingness of our health care workers, volunteers, first responders and all those who do everything in their power to take care of us. They are helping to protect the most vulnerable members of our society such as our parents, grandparents, seniors in long-term care facilities and marginalized communities. We want to express our wholehearted gratitude and thanks to them all.
Sincerely,Anju Dhillon Member of Parliament for Dorval—Lachine—LaSalle
